

Stanley Viechec, 89, of Toms River passed away on Sunday February 9th, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ebervale, PA, he resided in Edison prior to moving to Toms River in 1982. He was a World War II Army Veteran, parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, lifetime member of the D.A.V. and Silver Ridge Park Westerly VFW Post 8352. Stanley worked for the National Can Corp and enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and jigsaw puzzles. He was a family man who adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will always be remembered for his generosity, especially putting others before himself. He was predeceased by his loving wife Clara. Surviving are his children Claire A. and Husband Bruce Stankiewicz of Old Bridge, NJ and Ronald S. Viechec of Hillsborough, NJ, grandchildren Bruce Jr. and wife Gabriela Stankiewicz, Brian and wife Nicole Stankiewicz, David and wife Heather Stankiewicz, Garret and wife Jennifer Stankiewicz, Michelle and husband Brian Cunningham and Craig and husband Javier Cribas-Viechec, great-grandchildren Jonathan and Krystin, Jordan, Angelina, Sebastian Stanley and Sofia, sisters Dorothy Pesock of W. Hazleton, PA and Helen Fasulka of Ewing, NJ, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Visitation will be Wednesday February 12th, 2014 from 9am-11am at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 12th, 2014 at 11:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township, NJ. Interment will be private.
