

Theresa A. Mintzer, 70, of Toms River passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Van Dyke Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 11, 1940, she lived in Staten Island, NY before moving to Toms River in 1989.
Mrs. Mintzer was a secretary for Western Electric in New York City in the 1960’s. She was also a food demonstrator for BJ’s Wholesale Club, a clerical worker for the Ocean County Library and was a sorter for The Ocean County Observer all in Toms River.
Mrs. Mintzer was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Mintzer in 2009, her father, Anthony Francis Montemurro in 1998 and her mother, Elizabeth (Vicaria) Montemurro in 1993. She is survived by her son and his wife, Darryl and Robin Mintzer of Bayonne, her two brothers and their wives, Anthony and Susan Montemurro of Doylestown, PA and Michael and Pamela Montemurro of Berkeley Heights and her sister and her husband, Frances and Matthew Grieco of Drums, PA.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Monday, July 26, 2010 from 10 to 11am at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30am at the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River. Interment will follow in the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in her name to the St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08755.
