I write this with a heavy heart.
Tom and I met on the day we were inducted in the USAF in March 1951. We went through basic training at Lackland AFB,combat training in Fort Gordon and finally on to Sampson AFB. After our discharge Marie and I become lifelong friends with Tom and Judy.
Tom was the Best man at our wedding and we followed the Hartneys to Dumont NJ. In all these years I never heard this kind and loving gentleman say any unkind words.
Till we meet again.

Uncle Tom was such an important person to me and the entire DeSalvo family. We will always remember his kind heart, warm smile, and the ever-present twinkle in his eye. The many fun times we shared together in Dumont, at the Knights of Columbus, and the BARR-Y Farm are forever cherished in our hearts. 

Although we are saddened that Uncle Tom has left us, it is comforting to know that he has been reunited with Aunt Judy and our parents (Buddy & Frann) so they can continue their laughter and eternal friendship together. 

Thank you so much for posting the beautiful pictures. It's so nice to see all the smiling faces and remember the happy lives that were shared with much love.

I met Tom & Judy in Geneva, N.Y. when Tom was stationed at Sampson AFB in 1952, & we had so many great times with them! Both had a wonderful sense of humor! Times were slim so we used to pool what ever we had left to eat & share with each other. They both loved to spoil our baby son.Thank you so very much for sharing their life photos. I worked with Tom at NY Telephone at 50th st! We remained friends to this day and kept in touch via telephone calls and emails! We will miss his emails and his calls! I valued his friendship and will miss him! My wife and I were shocked to hear of his passing, but know he is in a better place and has been reunited with his beloved Judy! Rest in peace my friend! You will be missed!

I met Tom and Judy back in our high school days in NYC.  He was a sweetheart of a guy and anyone could see they were meant for each other. Together again!

Marty and I were friends with Tom and Judy for many years starting when they lived in Dumont, NJ. We had so many great times - the yearly trips to Williams Lake, summer and Christmas get-togethers, and just spending time together. We were so happy when Tom and Judy drove out to Colorado for our daughter Cheryl's wedding in 1998. We had so much fun together. All our memories of Tom and Judy are filled with laughter, fun, and great friendship. They were always there when you needed them. We are so filled with sorrow and yet so grateful we had the opportunity to be friends of Tom and Judy. Both will always be with us in our hearts.

I'll always remember your dad for his kind smile and gentle soul. They are qualities that you both carry in your hearts and what a lovely legacy that is.

I was a follow ding-a-ling at new york telephone company. I worked with tom from the field, over the phone, and also in the rsb (repair service bureau)   always a pleasure to talk to, as we shared experiences at ma bell.  one of, or maybe the best test desk technician I new.  Visited  tom and Judy once at there home with three other phone company workers. Both lovely people.  I moved to Florida and we stayed connected via e-mails. There was no one that send me more entertaining e-mails than tom. Funny, informative useful etc.  I will miss tom, but never forget him.

I was a childhood friend of Tom and Judy. Before judy's passing , they visited with Ellie and I on Cape Cod. They were two of my favorite people. We'll sorely miss not receiving the latest from Tommyblinker. I say that with a tear in my eye because although we didn't see each other often, I always felt that he was just around the corner.

Billy, Cristopher & Family. So sorry to hear the news about Uncle Tommy. Haven't seen him in years, but always have nothing but good memories of him. Always smiling. I hope to be able to make the Funeral. My parents thought the world of your dad as well, lot's of stories.
