William Kennedy

William J. Kennedy Sr., known affectionately to friends and family as Bill, was born on February 23, 1944 and passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. Bill was born in Bayonne, raised in Elizabeth and settled in Bayville, New Jersey where he and his wife raised four children. He worked for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and was a Charter Lifetime member of the Pinewald Pioneer Fire Company.

Anyone lucky enough to know Bill will remember him for his intelligent and calming demeanor. A devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bill never missed an opportunity to support his family. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and a day well spent in Atlantic City.

In Bill’s passing he is reunited with his mother Bernice V. Kennedy and his loving wife Helen J. Kennedy (Hawley). He is survived by his son William J. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Teri, his daughter Denise G. Graziosi and her husband Anthony, his daughter Deborah M. Kadlac and her husband Rickey Sr., his son Joseph M. Kennedy and his wife Margaret, his special nephew and niece Jonathan Spear and Katherine Eberly, his grandchildren Christopher Kennedy, KellyAnne Schaefer, Rickey Kadlac Jr., Shane Kadlac, Kyrie Graziosi, Ali Graziosi, Noah Kennedy, A.J. Graziosi, Cassidy Kennedy, and ten great-grandchildren.

To ensure the health and safety of Bill’s loved ones, no funeral service will be held at this time. A memorial service will be held later this summer.
