William (Bill) G. Legregni, 72, of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the presence of his family. Born in Paterson, NJ, Bill and his family lived in Paramus before moving to Toms River six years ago. Bill was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country. He worked as a tradesman throughout his career and more recently for Central Regional School District.
Bill was always the first to befriend you and enjoyed the company his travels brought him. He met his wife Judy at the Persian Lamb in Saddle Brook where they began their journey together. He supported his children’s dreams and spent decades enjoying and coaching their peers in various sports and endeavors. His compassion for others was only eclipsed by his love of entertainment. His retirement brought the opportunity to get back into his oldest of hobbies, singing and performing. Through his vocals he brought a smile to all who listened – his top acts came from bands such as The Eagles and ranged to soloists like Frank Sinatra. His voice, attitude, empathy and positive outlook will be dearly missed.
Bill has joined his sister and parents in Heaven, Josephine, Anthony & Philomena; and is survived by his brother, Carl; his children, Lauren, Michael & Thomas; his grandson, Jack; and his wife of 41 years, Judith (Schloerb).
Services will be private.
