

William B. Mullen, 79, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday December 21st at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Bill was born and raised in Elizabeth and lived there until moving to Toms River in 1969. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Bill was an on air personality for Adelphia Cable Corp. for over 20 years having worked as a game show host, reporter, emcee for the Toms River Halloween parade and he signed the weather for the deaf in the community. He was currently working for the County of Ocean Senior Services at Ocean County Mall. Bill was known for his love of the theater and his ability to entertain with a song and a smile.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Patricia A. Bauer Mullen; his children, Michael and Sandy Mullen, Joanne and Kevin Fox and Timothy and Laura Mullen; and was known as Poppy to his grandchildren, Ashley and Michael, Tyler and Jordin, and Leah and Hayley. He was affectionately known as Uncle Moon to his brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 29th from 1 to 5 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Family and friends are invited to meet at First United Methodist Church 129 Chestnut St. Toms River, NJ on Monday December 30th where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
