

He will deeply be missed by; his loving wife of 32 years Delores, his children Anthea (Boyd), Dawson (Paulette), and Covell (Claire); his step children Marsha (Allan), Anthony (Natalie), and Roderick. Bertram was a devoted grandfather to Shanelle, Brayden, Raeana, Alexa, Alisa, Asher (Shantae), Alyvia, Lucas, Stephanie, and Lauren. He was a great grandfather to Mikayla, Mekhi, Carys, Aria, and Calais. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Priscilla, Marvin, Leslie, and Victoria. He will also be missed by a large extended family and many friends.
Bertram rejoins in eternity his first wife Myrtle, his parents Stanley and Doris Phillips, and his siblings Cynthia, Myrtle, Jubal, Eunice, and Debora.
Bertram served with dignity as an active member of many churches. His devotion to his faith and family was the foundation of his life. He was a mechanic by trade, and was proud of his time serving in the British Air Force and Army.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care, as well as his doctor Dr. Gurtu and his assistant Jennifer.
Visitation will be held on December 29, 2023 from 5-8 pm at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street in North York. A brief visitation will be held on Saturday December 30, 2023 from 10-11 am at Evangel Temple 4190 Yonge Street, North York. Funeral Service will follow at 11 am. Committal Prayers will be held at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be considered to the Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp in Bertram's memory.
