Carmine Perna passed away peacefully the afternoon of Monday March 31, at the age of 98, surrounded by his loving family. Carmine has now been reunited in death with his beloved wife Maria Gemma. Carmine was the cherished father of Joseph, Franca (Brian), and John; a proud and devoted nonno to his grandchildren, Christine, Brendan, and Deanna.
Born in Ariano Irpino, Italy, Carmine came to Canada in the 1950’s with his wife, seeking new opportunities and a better life for his family. With hard work , determination and a profound sense of responsibility he was able to provide his family with a comfortable life.
Carmine was known for his dedication to his family, his strength and his resilence. His garden was a source of joy for him and he took pride in cultivating it for friends and family to enjoy. Carmine will be deeply missed but his lessons of hard work and perseverance, will continue to inspire those who loved him.
