Domenica was born in Macchiagodena, Italy and lived a life filled with love, feeding her family, making them laugh with her jokes, playing Santa Claus every Christmas, and making sure her grandchildren knew how much she loved them.
Domenica was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Martella and is survived by her children, Elisabetta (Frank) and Angela (Claudio), and her grandchildren, Carmelina, Joseph (Alyxa), and Sophia. Throughout her life, she was known for her incredible pizza, pasta, lasagna and her beautiful garden, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Visitation will take place at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, (South of Steeles Ave.) Toronto, on Thursday March 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 13, 2026 at 9:30 am at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, (92 Steeles Ave. West, Thornhill).
Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St. Thornhill.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to Southlake Hospital in Newmarket or North York General Hospital in Toronto.
Domenica Martella will be forever remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
