Thompson, Douglas Bruce, peacefully at North York General Hospital on Monday, March 10, 2014 in his 81st year. Much loved brother of Gary and his wife Joan, Marilyn and her husband Bill Armstrong. Predeceased by his parents, Isabel and Nelson “Nip” and his brother Nelson. Beloved Uncle of Gregory (Susanne), Elizabeth (Andy), Catherine (Celso), Steven and Jennifer and many other nieces and nephews. Doug will be remembered for his many years spent as a teacher and principal with the Board of Education in Toronto. He retired from the Arlington Senior Public School approximately 25 years ago. Memorial visitation will take place at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, North York on Saturday, March 15 from 11am -1pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Charity of your Choice.
