She tragically lost her firstborn child, David, at the age of 15 in a car crash in 1970 and Ross, her dear Husband of 47 years, in 2001.
Elvera is survived by her loving daughter, Valerie Stillman. (Mark, 2010).
Long time, faithful member of Northminster United Church, Toni, as she was fondly known, was a soprano soloist for over 45 years.
She has been known for her bright personality, along with a wonderful sense of humour.
She has recently been serenading the staff at her retirement residence with a variety of tunes, mainly Let it Snow!
The doctors and nurses at NYGH also had the pleasure of her singing in her last days. Valerie was so pleased to hear how she had brightened their shifts.
She was much loved and will be missed by so many.
