I can't forget how Uncle Phil would tilt his head with that joyous smile, and he would say Kojak! You alright?
He would say it so enthusiastically, and we would laugh and hug 🫂.
That's my Uncle Phil.

Hi Uncle. How sad, l never got to meet you. My name Tim, my father, your brother Lloyd. I would have loved to come over to meet you and your family. Hopefully this will be something l can do later this year to meet your family. My father has told me all about you. He is very upset at the sad news of your passing. RIP uncle.

I will miss you uncle Phil! Thank you for colouring my childhood with so many great memories. You brought life abs joy to any room you were in and never short of a dollar for the ice cream truck!  Best buds with my grandpa, I will cherish the memories of all the holidays you were at and weekends outside in the vineways chopping it up with everybody. My sincerest condolences to the Simmons family, may God be your peace, comfort and strength at this time.

Condolences to all who mourn the loss of our dear Uncle Phil.  My memories of him all center around our encounters in Canada, Trinidad and SVG.His greeting was always a warm smile coupled with a jovial mood.  I always left his presence feeling seen, appreciated and loved. RIP Uncle Phil. I will miss our encounters, though brief, they were treasured. 

In my family there are certain names I know as relatives and then there is FAMILY; no matter what was happening in any part of the world, these people have your back! Uncle Phil was FAMILY. Thank you Uncle, your union with Aunty Esther brought into the world some of my favourite people. 
 As we say farewell to the physical representation of our Uncle Phil, his love, generosity and sense of humour will live on in our gatherings, in our memories .

It's taken today to write a note to the Simmons family. Mr. Simmons and my dad (deceased) became friends when we moved in the neighborhood in 1976. Families in the neighborhood became one BIG Vineway family.  We grow but we never forget the bond.  I extend my sincere condolences on the passing of Philmore and know that he is with my dad, my mother and my brother looking down on us and not with tears but with joy in their hearts ❤  🙏🏽 .

My deepest condolence to Errol's family and those who know him. Who became to be his friend and they become to be his spiritual brothers.  Soon, we all going to see our brother Errol again in the new world.  To see him laughing playing with all his grandchildren. and seeing his children again dancing with his beautiful wife. Mr Errol Simmons. Who l knew as mr Philmore     was my very close nieghbour while living in Diego  Martin Trinidad. We shared many fun loving times . He was very generous.  Before migrating to Canada , he gave me a jack plane , one of his most treasured tool, he was a skilled carpenter. I cherished that jack plane with  gratitude,l was able to provide  the neccesities for my family. . I used that tool when l worked in Canada, brought it back to Trinidad. Thanks to the family for allowing me to share these precious memories. Farewell  Mr Philmore, thank you.  R.I.P   

Phil is no stranger to us. He was 1st cousin to my father (Two brothers Children). He was an inseparable friend to my brother, Grantley. 
He was a humble, kind, soft spoken and loving person. Phil was well love and respected by all of us. May he Rest In Peace.


Philmore , Aileen and I thank you for being our-brother,  we especially thank the almighty God for blessing us with such a wonderful and kind brother. Our hearts are broken but We take consolation in the knowledge that you are resting with the Lord. We would like everyone to know how compassionate you are to the needs of others.  We wish we were with you in your final hours, we love  you so much, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Celebrating the life of Errol Simmons (philmore/phil) was my brother-in-law, also the godfather of my son James. He referred to me as   sister, he  called me Sis..Phil was kind, loving, affectionate, and very generous. It was home away from home, when  I lived in Canada in his home with his wife  Esther my sister ,and three children, Delia, Vin, and Lisa. During those cold winter months..Phile drove me to my work place,ensuring l did not freeze while awaiting public transportation, to which I am eternally grateful.  It is so hard for me to speak of you in the pastence. Thank GOD for the presant.  The Bible states in  2 Corinthians chapter 5:8 ..We are confident,  yes, well pleased  rather to be absent from the body, and to be presant with the LORD. My  belief is, we will meet in the Ressurection.  My dearly beloved brother...R.I.P

RIP Papa. Your love will be constant in my heart along with the memories. Your pride in your family, especially for "my wife", "my children", and "my grandchildren", was evident to anyone you introduced us to.  I will miss the sparkle of happiness and mischief in your eyes, your expression of joy or surprise at seeing a loved one and your laughter. I will especially miss hearing you call me My Baby.
I love you My Papa and I will miss you forever. 💜 

My most outstanding memory of uncle Phil, was in the late 1970's when I lived in Canada at the Simmons family house in Woody Vineway. My cousin Lisa and I were toddlers and we sneaked out of the house, got into uncle's car and pretended to drive. Somehow, Lisa unlocked the brakes and the car rolled back into the street. Suddenly, uncle ran out to the car like superman and saved our lives. As kids we were excited but who knows what could have happened that day! Thank you uncle Phil, I love you! Condolences to  the Simmons family, and may Almighty continue to strengthen us.

"Daddy Phil" was a kind and kindred soul. His bashful, yet bright smile could light up the room. My many memories of him from Friendship are tucked away safely in my heart. Thank you for being such a beautiful human.  Rest well my friend❤. My sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late great and never forgotten. 

Uncle Phil, as a teenager you always treated me like a young man.
When you head pops was teaching me to drive you picked me up to go somewhere far, and to me you drive.
I was a bit worried but you said drive the car man, step on it the car can't control you and you pressed my foot on the gas.
I was never scared driving  after that.
