He was preceded in death by his wife (Kaye) and survived by his children Gordon (Marlene), Kathi James (Charles) and John (Theresa). He is adored by his grandchildren Chris (Kaela), Nick, Isabelle, Dylan and Sydney. Nothing gave him more pleasure than his kids and watching his grandkids grow up to be strong and accomplished young adults. He was fortunate to find love again, and adventure – on the golf course and traveling around the world - with Kaye Mustos. He was the baby brother to Art and Kathy, uncle to David, Karen and Nancie and great friend to many. And he loved his care team, Glaiza, Christine and Manoj, who became part of his family.
Everyone who knew him experienced his love of music. A “budding rockstar”, he had an incredible ear for music and could play any instrument he was handed. He enthusiastically looked forward to the karaoke gatherings with a giant smile on his face.
‘Pop’ was a remarkable man with an infectious smile, a curiosity for all things new and found joy in everything and everyone he met. He was a kind and gentle man with a generous and boundless heart. He saw the bright side in even the darkest situations and taught us that “if you can do something about it, then do it”!
So as we say goodbye to this most amazing man, we will wipe away our sadness and celebrate a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (mssociety.ca) or a charity of your choice. Planning is underway for a music filled celebration of life and details will be available shortly.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.jerrettfuneralhometoronto.ca for the Pinard family.
