I pray that you will find strength in God to continue on. Keep the memories you have of him fresh in your minds and hearts daily.  I remember Mom always telling me the story that while I was waiting to be born, Uncle Glen made a deal with mom that if I was a boy he would give her 10 dollars and if I was born on his birthday then he would make it 20 dollars. I was born 11:59pm on Oct 9 and made it on his birthday. She named me after him. He will be sorely missed. Wish I could be there with you at this time but I will always be here for you. ASKED  AND MANY TIMES TO SOME WHO DIDN'T. HE HELPED WHENEVER HE  KNEW  IT  WAS  NEEDED. BEING THE SISTER WHO WAS LESS THAN 13 MONTHS OLDER  THAN  GLEN  I KNOW HIM AS A GENTLE ,WARM AND CARING PERSON, WHO I NEVER  EVER SAW REALLY ANGRY. HE  LIVED HIS  LIFE  THE  WAY  HE WANTED. 
THE BEST WAY I CAN THINK OF DESCRIBING HIM COMES FROM A LINE FROM A SONG  IN OUR SALVATION ARMY SONGBOOK WHICH STATES;
HE GIVETH AND GIVETH AND GIVETH AGAIN. THE WRITER USES THE WORDS TO  DESCRIBE OUR  LORD BUT I THINK IT CAN REALLY  BE USED TO DESCRIBE GLEN AS WELL AND  I KNOW  ALL OF OUR  FAMILY WILL AGREE WITH ME. HE GAVE HIS  ALL TO EVERYTHING  HE  DID AND THAT INCLUDED  HIS  WORK AS WELL . 
TODAY HE IS  BEING REMEMBERED BY HUNDREDS OR MAYBE  THOUSANDS OF  PEOPLE ,ALL WHO CAME IN CONTACT WITH HIM, AND I KNOW HE WILL BE FORGOTTEN  BY NONE. 
HE MAY NOT HAVE  BEEN A WEALTHLY MAN  BY  THIS WORLD'S STANDARDS BUT TO ME  HE  WAS ONE OF  THE  GREATEST MEN WHO HAVE EVER WALKED THIS  EARTH. TO US  HE WAS DIFINITELY ONE OF  THE RICHES MEN TO LIVE BECAUSE OF  HIS  GENUINE LOVE AND  COMPASSION OF  OTHERS.WHEN HE SAT NEXT TO ME AT  OUR SISTER LOUISE'S  FUNERAL I SAW THE PAIN AND SUFFERING HE WAS GOING THROUGH  AND  I JUST HAD TO PUT MY ARM AROUND HIM  FOR  COMFORT AND  THAT MOMENT HAS ALWAYS  STAYED WITH ME.
WHILE AT THIS MOMENT THE  TEARING ARE FLOWING  AND MY HEART IS FILLED WITH SO MUCH PAIN AND  SORROW  ,I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT HE IS  IN A FAR BETTER PLACE . HE IS  NOT SUFFERING BECAUSE  ALL THE PAIN  AND SORROW IS  BEHIND HIM . HE IS  WAITING WITH  MOM, BOYDE, LOUISE , DON , AND REBECCA  FOR  US TO JOIN  HIM . 
ALTHOUGH  I  AM NOT THERE IN BODY , I AM THERE IN SPIRIT  AND SO IS DADDY, MAVIS  .BEATRICE , VERA . AND KEN. 
I SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON MY  DECISION NOT  TO FLY UP  TO BE  WITH YOU ALL  AT  THIS TIME AND  EVEN  WENT ONLINE SEVERAL TIMES TO PURCHASE A TICKET  , CARL PUT HIS CREDIT  CARD  BY THE COMPUTER  WHEN  WE  HEARD  GLEN WOULD NOT  MAKE IT . HE SAID "NOW  MAKE  YOUR  FLIGHT "  I WANTED  TOO  BUT COULD  NOT .
AS  I  WRITE THIS  THE TEARS ARE FLOWING AND  THE PAIN AND  SORROW  THAT I FEEL IS BEYOND WORDS ,
I  DECEIDED TO SPEND THE DAY OF  THE FUNERAL WITH DADDY , BEATRICE , MAVIS AND KEN, I THINK GLEN WOULD  BE  HAPPY  WITH MY DECISION . HE WOULD  WANT  DADDY TO HAVE SOME  FAMILY MEMBERS WITH HIM FOR  COMFORT. 
THURSDAY I STARTED  PICKING  PROMISES FOR  GLEN , WHICH I ALWAYS DO FOR SICK  FAMILY  MEMBERS. THE PROMISES I  PICKED 
IF YOU EVER  WANT TO  LOOK IT UP ARE: PSALM 14:3 , PSALM 121,7 ,
JOHN 10: 27,28 ,   JOHN 14: 2  AND  6:23. 
THIS  ASSURES  ME  THAT  GLEN IS  HOME .
