Mrs John was my grade two teacher at Bannockburn elementary school 1978/79. I just recently discovered that she had passed and I wanted to send my heartfelt condolences to her family. Mrs John was a loving caring woman. She taught me to spell the word, “tomorrow,” she guided me in my first adventures in arts and crafts, she showed me patience when I tried painting my first painting. And most memorably, when school was ending for the summer, she picked me up and cradled me and rocked me back and forth in celebration. She did this with every student that said, “Me, Mrs John! Me! Me!” We were celebrating our year end, grade 2 was complete and we were promoted to grade 3 and Mrs John showed us an abundance of love and compassion as we celebrated. I am 54 years old and I will always remember her. She lives on in my heart.

A heartfelt wish for comfort and strength during this difficult time and my sincere condolences to the John family.  May you be comforted by the Holy Comforter who knows your pain and  tarries with you.  You are never alone and the love that was shared by your loved one will forever be a source of strength in your heart, not a weakness.   So when you’re feeling down, that love will become a wellspring of peace, joy and hope and your faith in God’s love will renew time and time again.  Because His love is wonderful, no matter what and she (His wonderful creation) is with HIM. He had missed her and brought her home. So therefore, he understands what it means to miss someone you love. So turn to HIM  for comfort always.

A strong memory I have of my cousin,  Jean, is that she had an aura of peace, calm, and gentleness. She always wore a hint of a smile. Even though her expression never gave away what she may have been thinking, I felt that her thoughts were never scattered and always pleasant.

To Ruth,  Arnold, Brandon and the extended family, you lost  a gem.  Find comfort in knowing that you always celebrated her and  she knew how much you all dearly loved and appreciated her.
We pray that God grant you all peace and comfort as you grieve your loss.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the John Family and to  their many loved ones during this difficult time.  I will always see Mrs. John as the loving and nurturing person who showed so much love and kindness to so many of us church kids.  We have the hope of seeing Mrs. John again, and look forward to the day when Jesus calls all of His precious loved ones who are resting peacefully to come Home for all of eternity.
