I was deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of our beloved colleague, John. John was an incredible part of our team. I’ll remember John for his kindness, patience and unwavering professionalism. His calm nature, friendly smile and willingness to help made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with him on their monthly claims at Achev. I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear about John’s passing. John was my colleague, and he was one of those people who truly made a difference through his kindness and support. He was always willing to help, and always made time for others.

Working alongside John was a privilege. His professionalism, warmth, and supportive nature will be remembered by everyone who had the chance to know him. He will be deeply missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about John’s passing. We were colleagues and he was always so positive, receptive and helpful when we interacted. I am still in shock! I wish his daughter the best of strength as you mourn the loss of your dad. Know that he was well cherished at work and we will miss him dearly. John had a great sense of humor and patience. I have often wondered how many times, he has left a call with me just shaking his head.  But even though I sometimes need every single explanation in the world, his tone of voice never changed as he patiently explained things to me.  

It's so strange to realize that life can change in a blink,  I saw John last week when I brought him cookies for Christmas and he said " you didn't have to do that" and I recall smiling and saying... "but John, I really appreciate you". 

I am so glad now that I had a moment to tell him that I appreciated him, even though it was a flash, I will hold on to that memory.  

As God calls him back home, his legacy will live on through his small acts of kindness, his humour and quiet gentleness.  

To his family, I know that your grief now is too overwhelming, so there is nothing I can say to take away the pain.  But I will pray for you and for time to change the sadness to happy memories.

너무 마음이 아픕니다. 그동안 많은 대화를 나눌 기회는 없었지만, 한국인이 드문 이 업계에서 함께 일한다는 사실만으로도 그저 힘이 되었던 것 같습니다. John 님의 한국성함을 오늘 알게되었고, 태어나신 날짜가 저와 같다는 사실까지 세상 떠나고 나시니 알게되었네요. 한달에 한번 이메일로 재정레포트를 주고받으며 간단한 인사 및 대화만 나누는 정도였지만, 가끔 Have a good day 뒤 물결 (~~)을 붙혀보내주실때는..  왠지 한국인들만 느낄 수 있는 그 특유의 친근한 프렌들리한  정서를 느낄 수 있었고, 미소짓게 해주셨습니다. 너무나 믿기지가 않습니다.. 감사했습니다.. 좋은 곳에서 평안히 쉬시길 바라며.. 가족분들께도 진심어린 애도를 표합니다. 

I am deeply saddened by the news of John’s passing. We worked in the same industry where fellow Koreans are rare, and his presence alone was a source of comfort to me. I only just learned today that we shared a birthday and discovered his Korean name for the first time.
Even in our brief monthly emails, his kindness shone through. Whenever he added those friendly tildes (~~) to his greetings (a small but very Korean gesture), I felt a familiar, warm connection that always made me smile. I am so grateful to have known him, even from a distance. Wishing him eternal peace and sending my heart and prayers to his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Words cannot express the heartbreak of losing such a remarkable person so suddenly. John was a constant source of kindness and a steady hand of support whenever my team and I needed it. His generosity of spirit and the warmth he carried touched not only me, but every member of our staff. John, thank you for the person you were - for your patience with all our finance-related questions, and for the laughter you shared so freely. I am deeply sorry for your loss. John was a truly remarkable person warm, calm, patient, and always ready to help those around him. From the very beginning of my time working with him, he made me feel welcome.
