Joseph was born in Hungary and came to Canada after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. He attended Central Tech High School in Toronto, and then continued his studies at Humber College, graduating from the Civil Engineering Technology program. As Manager of Development Engineering at Winter Associates, Joseph was responsible for many projects throughout his career that helped to shape the growth of Mississauga and the surrounding 905 communities.
Joseph became an active participant in the Hungarian Scouts in his youth, and continued to volunteer his time in the community at St. Elizabeth of Hungary parish, especially in the kitchen preparing meals during yearly Scouting events. He was an avid fisherman and card player, and enjoyed his fishing trips each year with his friends.
Visitation will take place on Monday December 15, 2025, from 4-8 pm at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home at 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Funeral Mass to be held on Tuesday December 16, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church or the Toronto Hungarian Boys Scouts would be greatly appreciated by the family.
