Malcolm Robertson Wilson

May 8, 1923 - July 28, 2014

Malcolm passed away peacefully surrounded by his three sons at North York General Hospital in his 91st year. Son of the late John and Jean Wilson. Predeceased by his brother Harry (Margaret) of Peterborough and sister Rae (John Laing) of Toronto. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Montgomery) (1984). He will be greatly missed by his sons Paul (Gwen), Keith (Lisa), and Mark (Andrea). Cherished husband of Shirley Burrell (2008). Proud stepfather to Karen (Brian), Patti, and Doug (Sue).Proud and adored grandfather to Melissa, Bradley, Jonathan, Gisella, Laura, Kevin, Alexandra, Geoff, Melanie, Michael, Lynda, Shawn, and Christine. Special great-grandfather to Greydon, Evan, Adyson, Avery, Ben, Jordan, Nathan, Alayna, Judah and Leah. Malcolm was born in Rutherglen, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1931. After graduating from the University of Toronto he had a long and fulfilling career in teaching in both Toronto and later in Sudbury. Thanks to the staff of the Gibson LTC over the last eight years and special thanks to Mrs. Mendoza and Imelda for their dedication to Malcolm. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at North York General for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations to North York General Hospital would be appreciated. A celebration of life will be held on August 6, 2014, visitation at 11:00 a.m. service commencing at 1:00 p.m. with arrangements entrusted to Jerrett Funeral Homes.
