Mary Gross

Aug. 4, 1922-Dec. 9, 2013

After a long struggle, Mary passed away in her own home with her daughter at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, parents Anton & Franciska Wiedermann and both her sisters Apolonia Meyer & Anna Wildauer. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving daughter Hilda (Eric), grandsons and their families who adored her and were so grateful to have had her in their lives, and who were the light of Mary’s life and happiness, Edmund (Jill), Kevin (Uli), Steven (Helen), and great-grandchildren who loved their Gross Oma above all else, Chandler & Justine, Adrian & Laurence, Michael & David. We will all sadly miss this wonderful, caring and kind presence in our lives. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. A. Pyper for her support and understanding during all the difficult days past. Also to the caregivers, Lolita & Myrna who so lovingly and kindly helped care for Mary when she needed it.

Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home “ North York Chapel”, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto (south of Steeles Avenue) on Friday, December 13, 2013 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 75 Churchill Avenue (416-221-9131). Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill (south of Hwy 407). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Smile Train Canada, P.O Box 130 Station Saint-Laurent, Saint- Laurent QC H4L 4V4 (1-866-331-2547).
