Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Ps 116:15. Sis Millie my precious friend I miss you, you went so surprisingly from us but everything is in the Lord's timing and control. No more sickness, no more pain, no more troubles of this world, you are Free. SIP, I will see you in the rapture, then we'll understand it better by and by. May the Lord Jesus grant your  family strength, peace and comfort.

Millicent is a precious friend who I will greatly miss. She was a model of love  compassion and generosity.  I admire her commitment to the Lord especially as a  missionary.  She spent time caring for,  and helping others and I often likened her to Dorcas in the bible.
I  met Millie many years ago when we were both living in Jamaica. Our friendship developed when we met again in Canada where she was my neighbor,  and we woul travel to church together.  We often went on walks together. She 
made it such fun and we had such lively conversations that we were often unaware  of the distance we had covered. Sometimes we had movie nights. Halfway through the movie Millie would fall asleep. After the movie I would say, " Millie, you fall asleep again!" She would laugh and say in that trademark  soft voice of hers, "At least I tried" and so " at least I tried " became a running joke between us.
Eventually Millie and I changed addresses,  and I changed my place of worship. We no longer saw each other frequently but we would often keep in touch by phone. Last summer Millie spent a few days at my home. Little did I know this would be the last time I  would see her. I find it hard to accept that she is gone.  Gone to be with her Lord.

I had the honour and privilege to work with Millicent for the past 20 years. Millicent was such a light to the world and a true testament  of Proverbs 31. We will miss your beautiful smile that you shared with everyone you met, your quite voice that brought us comfort and your love .

We are forever grateful for the love and kindness Millie brought into our lives, the lessons we learned from her and the wonderful memories of her we will always cherish.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family as you grieve the passing of Missionary Millicent Grant. I hope you find comfort in the love and support of those around you and in the cherished memories you shared with her. Please know that I'm thinking of you during this difficult time, and if there's anything my family and I can do, we'll be here for you .

For over 20+ years you were my mom’s co worker. But, that relationship was so much more than that, you became her sister and my aunt. You’ve laughed with us, cried with us, prayed with and over us. Your friendship has meant so much to our family and life will not be the same without you. I will miss you forever and love you eternally my Dear Aunty Milly
