It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Remo Giacomini at the age of 58 on January 22nd, 2025. Beloved son of Fiorina Giacomini and the late Settimio Giacomini. Cherished older brother of Maria Rosa (Franco), Pamela (Santo), Lino (Stephanie) and Melissa. Proud Zio to Francesco, Sofia, Eliseo, Gianmarco, Daniele, Adriano, Giulia and Giuliana. Remo will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends who had the gift of meeting him.
Remo was a fighter from the moment he was born. Having survived heart surgery at just two months old, he was an example of unwavering strength and determination. Though Remo could not hear, speak and had limited vision – nothing could stop him. He was intuitive, incredibly intelligent, compassionate, thoughtful, perseverant and loved life so much. His playful spirit, clever ways, his passion for family, good food, bowling, music and so much more – there was no one like him.
Remo is united in heaven with his father Settimio, his niece Angelica, grandparents and uncles.
Remo was loved by everyone that met him, and he loved everyone in return. He left his unforgettable mark on this world and the hearts of his family, friends and community.
We remember the warmth and sweetness of his precious hand waving us goodbye.
Until we meet again.
A visitation for Remo will be held Monday, January 27th, 2025 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, 6191 Yonge St. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 92 Steeles Ave. W.
