Stephen James Wilton

Steve died suddenly on Saturday, March 8. Beloved son of Diane and the late Rev’d Canon John Wilton. Proud and loving father of Kieran. Lovingly remembered by sister Liz McMahan (Jeff) as well as his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Steve began working at Humber College as a student and continued teaching and supporting students for several years before going on to found Wireless Nomad with colleague and friend, Damien Fox. Steve later spent 20 years as a Senior Design Technologist at Phoenix Geophysics before turning his focus to building a business with son Kieran.

He loved spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and biking his way around Ontario and on a recent road trip across Canada and the US. Since his early days listening to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy radio play on CBC, reading Dune, and watching Star Wars, Steve was fascinated with the cosmos and other worlds. More recently he took up astrophotography and loved watching the night sky and imagining what might exist beyond.
