Trevor was born on October 11th, 1947, in Kingston Jamacia, the second son of Lydia Simmons Lennon and Harold Lennon.
He is survived by his “favorite” wife Gerri of 52 years. Loving Daughter Kimberley (Kim), Proud Papa to Jaidyn (Jai), Mikayla (Mik) and Olivia (Liv); Best friend to his brother Homer; Sister Dawn Marie Angus (Neville), Stepmom Joan Lennon; Stepsisters Marcia Burnette (Karl), Jacqueline Horne (Tommy), Audrey Burchell, Violette Haldane. Stepbrothers Merv Lennon, Wavell Dale, Christopher Dale; In-laws Pollyann & Doug Sereda, Andy Petry Shen, Michael & Ellen Petryshen; Aunt Madge Wright (Karl), Lola Burthwright; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by Grandmother Catherine Simmons, Father Harold Lennon, and Mother Lydia Lennon.
Trevor worked in multiple insurance companies for over 35 years as an underwriter in commercial auto fleet.
In his youth, soccer was his game. He was an avid runner, jogger, and walker. He rode for Diabetes and walked for MS. He was a familiar sight walking daily in the neighborhood and Hillcrest Mall. In the summer when at the trailer in Gravenhurst he would walk to town until he heard bears strolling down the country lane, then it was back on his bike speeding through the county lane back home.
His favourite sport to watch was Hockey and the Toronto Maple Leafs was his team! He did a lot yelling at the referees on the TV. His threats of never watching another game when they didn’t win was quickly forgotten 3 seconds before the next game.
Trevor loved to sing and travel. While on vacation, he would always find out when karaoke nights were. His favorite song to sing was, "Can I have this dance” by Anne Murray; on or off the resort property people would come up to us and ask him if was famous and when was his next show. He beamed and strutted like a peacock.
He was a faithful member Willowdale Baptist Church and loved singing in the worship team but had to stop because of low energy.
When he retired early, he became a volunteer at Hope House Hospice. He loved people and they loved him. He was empathic, kind and encouraging.
He loved giving with a joyful and loving heart and gave to many needing charities.
The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful and support help and care given by the nurses and doctors at Sunnybrook Hospital. In remembrance of Trevor’s life, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, any charitable donations be made to Hope House Hospice in Richmond Hill.
