Ana is survived by: son Manuel A. Sousa of Turlock; son José A. Sousa (Alfredina) of Turlock; daughter Maria Belmira Silva of Pico, Açores; daughter Ana Maria Sifuentes (Miguel) of Turlock; sister Maria A. Medeiros of Turlock; sister Rosa C. Oliveira of Pico, Açores; brother José R. Pereira of Maxwell, California; and brother Inocencio R. Pereira of Artois, California. Mrs. Sousa also leaves behind ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren to honor her memory.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Julio V. Sousa in September 2012; her brothers Estacio da Rosa Pereira, Manuel da Rosa Pereira, and Antonio da Rosa Pereira; her sisters Maria Brás, Adelaide Pereira, and Georgina Dias; as well as her parents Joana Rosario Jorge and Estacio da Rosa Pereira
Ana was a dedicated parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Society in Turlock, California.
A visitation for Mrs. Ana R. Sousa will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. There will be a recitation of the rosary during the visitation at 7:00 PM.
A funeral service will occur at noon on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church: 1200 Lyons Avenue, Turlock, California. She will be laid to rest following the service at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Manuel A. Sousa, José A. Sousa, Miguel Sifuentes, Jason Stewart, Tyler Williams, and Alex Simon.
