Andree Bedu Bass

Andree Bedu Bass, 85, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2014. She was born April 6, 1928, in Constantine, Algeria, North Africa, to Edmond and Therese Marie Rose (Sanino) Bedu. She came to the United States in 1952 and became an American citizen shortly thereafter. She was employed at KenMar and later Mason Tyler Companies. She married Samuel W. Bass on February 26, 1955. She was a lifelong resident of Tyler, and a member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, of 36 years, her sisters, Gilberte Bedu, Catherine Montoya and husband, Damien , Eliane Dones, Edmonde Hillier (Monette), and husband, Norman.

She is survived by her two daughters Christine Chrietzberg and husband, Michael, of Duncanville, Texas, and Kathleen Bass of Tyler, Texas, two grandchildren, Courtney Hambright and husband, Greg, Clayton Chrietzberg and wife, Codie, all of Midlothian, Texas, and great grandchildren, Kyle Hambright, Brynn Hambright, Gage Phillips, Emeri Chrietzberg and Ellie Chrietzberg. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Jeanot Dones of Tyler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 16th, at 7 pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home and Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul on Friday, January 17th, at 2 p.m. with interment at Concord Cemetery, Chandler, Texas.
