

Services for Arnold E. “Pop-Pop” Orr, 82, of Tyler are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Marvin United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Doug Baker officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery in Mannington, West Virginia. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mr. Orr passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Fort Worth.
He was born on July 12, 1929 in Chandler, Oklahoma to the late Ernest Millage and Mamie Strong Orr. He retired from the
U. S. Army after 30 years of service. He served in WW II, Korea and Vietnam. Following his military retirement he was employed by the city of Tyler as an engineering inspector and retired from that position also. He was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church and had lived in Tyler since 1978.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Arlene Dulin and brother, Bobby Joe Orr.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Cain Orr of Tyler; son, Dane Orr of Fort Worth, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Thompson of Olton and son-in-law, Thad Dulin of Midland; grandchildren, Katelyn and Kristen Orr and Morgan Dulin.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in Marvin UMC chapel.
