Her siblings were Clyde Everett (wife Helga deceased), Beverly Everett Weibel (Mel), David Everett (Gina).
She was raised in San Diego and after graduating from high school, she married the love of her life, James Paul Huffman, on September 1, 1948. They were married for 41 years. They had two beloved children: Paul Jay Huffman (Marie) and Diane Huffman Foulk (Michael). She was proud of her 5 grandchildren: Daniel, Andrew (Priscilla) and Luke (Krista) Huffman and Rachel and Matthew Foulk. She has three precious great granddaughters: Vanessa, Laney and Annie Huffman. One great granddaughter is on the way: Hazel Mae Huffman. She has many special nieces and nephews and many others that she counted as her family. She was a second mother (mama) to many.
After leaving California in 1955, Barbara and her children moved to Tyler while Jim went on to work at ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia. She and the children joined him there in 1957. They lived there many years, and had many friends and travels in those years. They returned to Tyler to be near family in 1970. Barbara and Jim had a good life together until his passing in 1990. Her children, grandchildren, brothers, sister and other family members all stepped up in their own ways to support her since then. Her brother, Clyde, lived with her about 20+ years. They were each other's comfort and rock during that time. In 2019, Barbara moved to Silver Creek Assisted Living in Garland, TX. She made many more friends who loved her, and she loved them. Her years there had many bright spots. She was a bright light for many there and enjoyed making them laugh.
She was Methodist and had a strong faith in the Lord. Her hobbies: gardening, crocheting, needlepoint, reading, watching the news. Her interests were mainly her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. She loved them with all her heart!
She died peacefully in her sleep in her own bed and surroundings. When we think of her, we think of LOVE. She was generous with her love and received it back in abundance.
She will be dearly missed by many!
