

Bobbie Ann Hendon Wottring of Flint, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the age of 85 years. She was born on August 27, 1936 in Mexia, Texas. She grew up and lived most of her life in Houston, Texas.
Bobbie graduated from Lamar High School, Southwestern Business University and The University of Houston with a 2 year degree. She also completed courses at UH/Downtown, North Harris County College and Houston Community College: Courses in Business, Drafting, Real Estate, Oil and Gas, and Spanish.
Bobbie worked as a Legal Secretary/ Office manager for 15 years. She was a recognized and successful Real Estate Broker during the NW Houston boom, and finally, as a Legal Assistant at Conoco/Phillips. After retirement, she worked as an automobile transporter and as a school bus driver. She volunteered in many capacities throughout her life: Emergency Disaster Organization Warden for the Conoco Complex for several years. Pin Oak Horse Show volunteer. The annual Channel 8 TV participant for many years and at The Salvation Army.
Bobbie was actively involved in her home-based, Christian church. She was the very picture of a strong Texas woman… strong, faithful and beautiful, inside and out! A country girl at heart, she loved animals and outdoor adventures, like fishing, hunting, target practice, hiking, the beach and camping. All her life, she worked tirelessly to help provide for her family. Her laughter and joy filled the room; she never knew a stranger. And she made sure you knew that you were loved! She will be greatly missed!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Louise Cochran Hendon; her father, Jim Arch Hendon; and her baby brother James Boyd Hendon.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hoffmann; her children Susie Babcock (and Mike), Judy Fairchild (and Paul); 6 Grandchildren: Jana Winston, Kevin Babcock, James Babcock, Catie Chamberlin, Julia Ewanowski, and Meredith Davis; and her loving sister and best friend, Doris Castleberry (and Robert). She had 12 great grandchildren: Cole, Izzy, Addi, David, Daniel, Seth, Luke, Reid, Miles, Molly, Betsy and Roeland. And numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Christus Mother Francis Hospital.
There will be a private family memorial and celebration of life. Interment will be at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, TX.
