I remember when I was a baby, he tried to teach me how to play cards. I also remember at a family reunion the guys were taking a picture and my brother would only take it if he was in his arms.

I knew Mr. Shine through my father, Billy Rodgers, at Gibson's.  They worked together for many years.  My father always had great regard for Mr. Shine and enjoyed working with him very much.  Mr. Shine was always so kind and polite to me whenever I would see him.  My prayers are for your family at this time of sorrow.  May God bring you His peace as you mourn his passing

B. W. will be looking for a job in heaven.  I never knew anyone who loved to work like that man.  I worked with him  at Tyler Memorial, and he was a good man.  God has a good helper now for sure.  Cleta and family my thoughts and prayers are with you now.

Bernie was a leader among many fine men I knew at Cedar Street.  Cleta and family, I know you are comforted by your faith.

I worked with BW at Tyler Memorial, and absolutely loved this man. He was so loving and caring for everyone. We had some wonferful and funny times. He will be greatly missed. I know he is happy where is now though. God Bless you B.W.. I will never forget you! Love Peaches!

I'm really sorry to hear about B.W. I remember him when we went to my Uncle Gayle & Aunt LuLu Boyd reunions.
