

courageous and determined battle with Dementia. Funeral services with be Tuesday,
February 28th 1:30 P.M. at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler with interment following in
Cathedral In The Pines.
Carol was born, November 3rd 1953 to Jerry and the late Billie Jean Coker in Tyler. She is
survived by her father Jerry Coker and stepmother Inez of Tyler. She is also survived by
her loving husband of 36 years Frank Cuca of Whitehouse, daughter Amy Landsberger
and husband Eric of Frisco, and son Dr. Chad Cuca of Atsugi, Japan, and newborn
grandson Luke Andrew Landsberger of Frisco. She had one brother Jimmy Coker and
wife April of Lindale, and one sister who preceded her in death Cathy Coker
McClendon. She is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
Carol was a kind loving wife and mother, with a wonderful smile and unpretentious
personality. She began her working career at Tyler Junior College in the office of former
President Harry Jenkins. After several years, she returned to complete her education at
University of Texas at Tyler and began teaching in the Whitehouse Independent School
district as an elementary teacher. Teaching was a life-long aspiration, as she touched
the young lives of so many of her students during her career. Many of the students she
taught in elementary school returned years later to express their gratitude for their early
development. She had the god given talent to relate to her students in a special way.
She also taught Sunday school at Pollard United Methodist.
She will be dearly missed by all. especially her lifelong friend Annette Thompson Burrow,
who was dedicated to being a loving friend to the time of her death. Carol will always
be remembered for truly caring for others.

Visitation will be at Lloyd James Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 8 P.M.
Pallbearers are Dr. David Burrow, David Pickett, Richard Johnson, Jim McCarty, Mark
McCarty and Dennis Miller.
