Graveside services for Claud Harold “Pete” Hackler, 85 of Tyler, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Mineola under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler. The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at Lloyd James Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m.
Mr. Hackler passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at his residence in Tyler. He was born April 5, 1935 in Golden to the late Ray and Viola Carr Hackler. Pete began his career with G.E. /Trane Corp. in Tyler as a line-worker and retired after 35 + years as a supervisor. He was a member of Dayspring Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin and Dale; by two sisters, Bess and Ann and by a grandson, Logan.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Ginger Sue Smith Hackler of Tyler; son, Keith Hackler and wife, Jill of Whitehouse; daughters, Kay Taylor of Whitehouse and Karen Chudej and husband, Kevin; brother, David Hackler and wife Pat; sister, Dorothy O’Burke; 7 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren and 1` great-great-grandchild.
