

Curtis Allen "CA" Williams, 96, of Tyler died peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was born August 5, 1925 in Floydada, Texas to the late Jerry J. Williams and Frances Martin Williams of Goree, Texas.
Curtis was one of six children. Sisters Patricia Anthony of Wichita Falls and Ellen Stephens of Canyon Lake, Texas. Preceded in death sisters Johnnie Shield and Margaret "Jo" Williams and brother Jerry Martin Williams.
He was blessed with three children. Diann Wood and husband Fred, sons Robert Williams, and the late Curtis I. Williams. Grandchildren Traci Sawyer and husband Steve, Bill Crouch and wife Alicia, Wayne, Cheri, Timothy, Tammy, Bethany, Jennifer, Ashley and Rebecca. Great-grandchildren, Saken, Aliyah and Avery Sawyer, Colton and Breely Crouch, Annalynn and Amos.
Curtis graduated from Goree High School and served in the US Army. He was a farmer by trade and loved working on the family farm for many years. He also had worked in the appliance business and extensively overseas in Egypt. He enjoyed traveling and loved beating anyone in a game of dominoes.
He will be missed by many but never forgotten. The family would like to thank the staff of Waterton Healthcare in Tyler and a special thank you to Martha at Waterton for her compassion and care she provided Curtis and his family.
A Graveside service for Curtis will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Brushy Cemetery near Goree, Texas with Rev. Wesley Clark officiating, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
