Memorial services for Dawn W. Cooper, 80, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00pm Friday, February 5, 2016 at Marvin United Methodist with Dr. Doug Baker and Rev. Gerry Giles officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Dawn passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Tyler.
She was born on October 4, 1935 in Camden, Arkansas to the late George Dudney and Corrie Ethel Bennett Wesson. Dawn was a member of the Pairs and Parents Sunday School class at Marvin United Methodist Church.
Dawn is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Bill Cooper, of Tyler; daughter, Brenda Stewart and husband, Kensley, of Tyler; son, Mike Cooper, of Tyler; grandchildren, Beth Stewart, of Irving, Sean Cooper and wife, Tiffany, of Highlands; and Trey Cooper, of College Station; great-grandchildren, Jacob Cooper and Mason Cooper, both of Highlands; and sister, Dr. Gale Bridger, of Shreveport, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County, 211 Winchester Drive, Tyler, Texas 75701.
