Graveside Services for Edith Merle Burke, 91, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery, Tyler, under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Pastor Sherman Mayfield will be presiding.
Mrs. Burke died December 20, 2016 and was born on September 14, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a long distance telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. as an Executive Secretary. She moved to Tyler in 1972. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her parents, Dovie and Herschel Drennan; one sister, Elaine Watts and beloved husband Keith.
She is survived by her stepson Robert Keith Burke of Sun City, Arizona.
