Graveside services for Elfriede “Shelton” Nelson, 80, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2011 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Rev. David Hicks Sr. officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nelson passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Tyler.
She was born on March 30, 1931 in Frankfort, Germany to the late Auto Edward and Anna Staedter. She had lived in Tyler since 1950, was retired from Bank of America and was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nelson.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell Shelton of Tyler and a brother in Germany.
