Ellen Joe Byers, died after a long struggle with ovarian cancer on March 8th of 2022. She passed peacefully with her loving husband by her side holding her hand. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma November 1, 1951, with her twin sister. Ellen was raised in California then after high school years she and her family moved back to Oklahoma.
John and Ellen were married 15 years. They have made many memories and traveled to many exciting places together. They built their beautiful dream home in 2020 close to Lake Tyler. Ellen’s hobbies were baking, decorating and drawing. She was an amazing artist and taught her grandchildren how to draw sketches. She dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. They made many memories baking together.
Ellen is survived by her husband, John Thomas Byers Jr.; Twin sister, Helen Belle Crose; Son, Baron Leslie Long; Stepdaughter, Jonette Lurine Moore; Grandchildren, Jayden, Jayna and Jarrett.
Ellen is preceded in death by Father; Joe Thomas Harrison; Mother, Eunice Mae Boice Harrison; Sisters; Sherry Lee Hervey; Marcia Adileen Marshall.
