George Lee Reasoner

Services for George Lee Reasoner, 89 of Tyler, are 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Bro Tom Crawford Officiating. The family will gather to receive friends and family at 1:00 p.m. until service time. A graveside with Military Honors will follow services at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery. Following services the family and friends will gather at Brenda Orr's home, 3024 Orr Dr. Tyler, Texas.

George passed away on April 27, 2025 in Tyler. He was born September 8, 1935 in Mineral Wells Texas to the late Cecil and Juanita Reasoner. George left High school early and enlisted in the U.S Navy at the age of 16. He served aboard the USS Hornet at China and the European Theatre. After his release from the service he entered the Vending machine industry, eventually owning two companies in Tyler and Texarkana. He loved fishing and golf as well as his love for the Lord and His Church, Westwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie and a son, Terry. He was also preceded by two brothers, Jimmy and Floyd Reasoner. Survivors are his two daughters, Brenda and her husband, David Orr and Teresa Arent, two brothers, C.W. Reasoner and Leon Reasoner, and by numerous grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

Pallbearers will be David Orr, Max Knippers, Lynn Reasoner, Jim Reasoner, Jalen Parker, and Jessie Reasoner. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Reasoner and Donny Derouen.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to The Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County.
