Services for Herbert Lincoln Ingram of Whitehouse, Texas are scheduled for Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse. Pastor Bennie Portwood will be officiating, under the direction of Lloyd James funeral Home. Visitation will also be held at Mt Carmel on the 27th beginning at noon.
Herbert passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016.
He was born on June 12, 1928 to Herbert Ingram and Berniedean Triplett Ingram in Bronxville, New York.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Ingram, his sister Berniedean Henke of Philadelphia, PA, step-daughters Betsy Benjamine of Denver, CO. and Mary Cowart of Holdenville, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
Herbert graduated from West Virginia University and was an insurance broker for over 40 years. Thirty of those years he enjoyed being self-employed. He was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse. He was an accomplished trumpet player and spent many hours playing with friends and performing for his church congregation.
Interment will be at Senaca Rock Cemetery in West Virginia on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.
