Homer Fred Evans, age 80, of Tyler, passed away on July 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Lloyd James Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Jack Hetzel and Rev. Calvin Durham, with visitation one hour prior to the service Mr. Evans was born to Lamberth Evans and Mavis Murphy Evans on November 19, 1936 in Pickton.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hazel Martin Evans; his daughters Lori Billings of Bullard; and Dena Hunt of Lenexa, Kansas; his sister Vina Ann Rogers of Tennessee and Kathy Durden; Step-mother Vina Cross; two grandsons; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
