

Services for James “Jim” Radford, 74, of Flint are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel with Dr. Mike Daniels and Dr. Max Lee officiating. Burial is in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mr. Radford passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Tyler.
He was born on February 1, 1937 in Oakwood to the late Leonard and Norma Irons Radford. He graduated from Oakwood High School in 1955 and joined the U. S. Army 7th Calvary in 1958 and was stationed in Germany and played baseball on the Regiment’s team. He began his career in the oil field in 1957 as a hand at a gas cracking plant and continued working in the oil field through 2011 holding the position of Independent Oil Field Consultant. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana Baptist University in 2001. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church where he served as a teacher, soul winner and minister.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Delores Imhof Radford; children, Jimmie and Jim Utz of Frankston, Pam and Ricky Smith of White Oak, Julie and Bobby Boucher of Coffee City, Darretha Radford, Destiny Radford and Carmen Radford all of Tyler; sibling, Mary and Doug Stevens of Oakwood; grandchildren, Daniel Crow, Carolyn Turner, Jennifer Emanis, Jessica Loggins, Elizabeth Miles, Rebekah Boucher and Julian Boucher and great grandchildren, Seth Emanis, Allen Emanis, Ashlyen Crow, Quinn Turner, Calyie Turner and Jaden Turner.
Pallbearers are Michael Emanis, Richard Lanam, Michael Stevens, Cory Stevens, Zach Utz, Kim Steven, Kelly Steven and Bobby Boucher.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
