Jason Lyons, a resident of Tyler, TX passed away November 25, 2017. Cremation services were chosen with a visitation for family and friends to be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, 1011 East First, on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. He is the son of Kenneth Lyons of Crowley, LA and Kathy Lyons Cook of Abilene, TX.
Jason was a native of Abilene and attended Wylie and Cooper High Schools. During that time he was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Jason moved to Tyler in 2001 where he continued for many years in the Property Maintenance field of work. He then began a new career at Tyler Corrugated Box as a machine operator.
Jason loved life as shown by the hours he spent on the nearest lake. He was an avid fisherman who was always ready to fry fish or light up his favorite grill. He was happiest while with friends and had a generous nature in helping others. Many also knew Jason for his sharp eye when it came to photography, another hobby he discovered in the outdoors.
Jason is survived by his parents; Tom Cook, step-father of Abilene; two step-sisters, Kendra Clark of Conroe, TX and Kristin Daniel of Martindale, TX. Jason also has numerous surviving relatives in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Virginia.
Following the visitation service, a private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a memorial donation be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105).
