Jeanette C. Spink

Jeanette C. (LeBaron) Spink, 87, died on January 23, 2011. She was born October 17, 1923 on 2nd Street in Kennedy, N.Y. to Arthur and Marguerite (Hitchcock) LeBaron. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl C. Spink, Jr.; grandson, Joshua Spink; two sisters, Beatrice McMillan and Anise Meabon; and two brothers, Melvin and Arthur LeBaron.

She graduated from Falconer High School, N.Y. in 1942 after attending at Ellington. Jeanette was an avid reader who lived within her means and loved playing cards and scrabble with family members. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking, bird watching, camping, traveling, stargazing, flowers and just being in the woods. Daily, her radio filled her home with music for as long as anyone can remember.

She is survived by her sister, Esther Baker and husband, Don; brother-in-law, Harold Spink and wife Dee; sister-in-law, Agnes LeBaron; 3 children, Beverly Dowling of Dunnellon, Fl., Sheldon Spink of Clearwater, Fl., Jennifer Pickle and husband Bob of LaRue, Tx.; 4 grand children, Danny Dowling, Travis Gibson and Ben O’Halloran of Fl and Sabrina Scott and husband Daniel of Tx. and great grandson, Nathan Scott. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members who affectionately call her “GG” and her faithful, life-long friend, Jeanette Langhans of Homer, N.Y.
