Jennie P. Turner

Jennie passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 in Tyler.

She was born on March 17, 1922 in Bristol, Rhode Island to the late Ferdinand and Carmella Cariglia Iasiello. She was a volunteer at Sylvania Baptist Church and Green Acres Baptist Church for over 50 years working with the 2-3 year olds. She also worked at the Tyler Day Care Center.

She is survived by her daughters, June Hudson, of Tyler and Tricia Mitchell, of San Antonio; son, Bob Turner, of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Kristi Bruening, Troy Turner, Adam Turner, Jennifer Swinney, Michael Mitchell, Randle Gibson, Niki Gibson, and David Hudson; great-grandchildren, Carly, Robin, Hope, Zeathe, Ken, Chazz, Troy, Carson, Alexander, Cali, Brayli, Kaelin, and Kimberlyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 1/2 years, Roudet Turner.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2014 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Department at Green Acres Baptist Church, 1607 Troup Highway, Tyler, 75701, in memory of “Miss Jennie”.
