Jennifer Young & Christian Palmertree

A time of visitation for both Jennifer and Christian will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home. The graveside service will occur Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bascom Cemetery.

Jennifer Nicole Young, age 30, of Benbrook, Texas passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Jennifer was born on Wednesday, July 24, 1991 in Dallas, Texas to Tom and Sheila Young.

Jennifer was a dedicated mother, daughter, and friend. She was a nurturing, and helpful person; easy going and never met a stranger. Jennifer grew up in Justin and Decatur, Texas, was a cheerleader there and graduated from Northwest High School in 2009. Jennifer was a tough and strong woman, who could hold her own. She loved listening to alternative rock and roll music and enjoying nature, especially the mountains. Jennifer had a big heart for animals of all kinds, she was often known for taking in strays who didn't have a home. Jennifer feared nothing, unless it involved her children; her whole world revolved around her sons, Christian and River. Jennifer loved being a stay at home mom and getting to watch her boys grow. You wouldn't find one without the other. They loved being outdoors and painting things together.

Jennifer is survived by her son, River Jaxson Young; mother, Sheila Kay Young; father, Howard Thomas Young; brother, Jacob Thomas Young; uncle, Joey Phillips, Gary Morris Jr., Jerry Newman, and Gary Newman; Toney Newman; aunt, Ruth Kavanaugh Michelle Newman; grandmother, Jodie Boulware; grandfather, Joe Duke; grandfather, Roger Hobson; and a host of cousins and friends.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her son, Christian Thomas Palmertree; paternal grandparents, Marcella Ivy and Richard Kavanaugh; and maternal grandparents, Johnnie Hobson and Quentin Newman.

Christian Thomas Palmertree, age 3, of Benbrook, Texas passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Christian was born on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Tyler, Texas to Joshua Palmertree and Jennifer Young.

Christian was known as a fun-loving, outgoing boy who was smart, ambitious, and ready for anything. He loved playing with his siblings, riding four-wheelers, and swimming. You would find Christian outside running around with a smile on his face and a popsicle in his hand! Christian was extremely fascinated with dinosaurs, especially the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops and Velociraptors. His favorite cartoon was 'Gigantosaurus' and his favorite show was T-Rex Ranch. Christian's favorite time of the year started in early spring, when it was time to go mushroom hunting with his momma and dada, who he adored.

Christian is survived by his father, Josh Palmertree; step-mother or 'Momma Rylee,' Rylee Martin; siblings, River Young, Kynslee Martin, Korben Martin and Melana Palmertree; grandparents, Jennifer Gardner, Sheila and Jacob Young.

Christian is preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Nicole Young; and great-grandparents, Scott and Linda Christian.

Though their life was brief, the memories of Jennifer and Christian live on through their friends and family, who will miss them dearly.
