Services for Joan H. Clanton, 87, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2016 with Rev. Darryle Dunks officiating in the chapel at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, 560 Evergreen Street, Paris at 2:00 p.m.
She passed away on Friday, February 12 in Tyler.
Joan was born on January 18, 1929 in Houston to the late Barney D. and Agnes Howard Hutto. She was an administrative assistant at LTV Vought Aircraft and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.
She is survived by husband, David Hiram Clanton, Tyler; daughter Jan Clanton, Tyler; son, David A Clanton and wife Cindi, Florence, Florida; son Mark D. Clanton, Tyler; grandchildren: Brooke Duhon, Dr. David B. Clanton, Timothy Clanton, Candace Tottenham, Tiffany Clanton and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Monday, February 15, 2016.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Joan Clanton Memorial Fund at Green Acres Baptist Church, 1607 Troup Highway, Tyler TX 75701.
