Services for Julius Lee Buckner, 73, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Alvey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Entombment is in Cathedral in the Pines.
Julius passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in Tyler.
He was born on March 14, 1941 in Tyler, to Julius and Stella Shuford Buckner. He was a salesman for Prudential Insurance for more than 30 years. Julius was a member of the Friendly Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Deedi Rushing and Shannon Cochran, of Tyler; brother, Gary Buckner, of Tyler; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Romona Buckner; sister, Martha Cowart; and granddaughter, Mandy Nicole Buckner.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 prior to the service at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
