Funeral services will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on

Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with the

Reverend Mike Corb officiating. A private family burial will be held in Waco

at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Weaver was born on December 22, 1916 in Rochelle, Louisiana to the

late Howard and Emma Strickland. Her family moved to East Texas at the

beginning of the oil boom. She attended New London schools and graduated

from Tyler Business School. She worked in the business field for many years before retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Tyler where she loved to serve others.

She volunteered for many years at the Kings Store House and Meals on Wheels. Her

greatest joy in life was serving others and loving her Lord Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Weaver is preceded in death by her husband Robert Weaver, her

parents, brother and four sisters, daughter-in-law Sherry Weaver, granddaughter

Debra Brown, grandson Allen Sparks, and great-granddaughter Angela Sparks.

Survivors include her son Richard Weaver of Henderson, daughters Shelia

Fitzgerald of Tyler, Charlotte and husband John Warren of Weatherford, Bobbie

and husband Dale Glenn of Aquila, Kaye and husband Larry Wilson of

Whitehouse, 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great

grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Lloyd

James Funeral Home.
