

Services for Martha Violet Webb Peters, 79, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Mt Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. Bennie Portwood officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peters passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 in Tyler.
She was born on February 6, 1934 in Brownsboro to the late Robert E. Lee Webb III and Maudie Mattie Perry Webb. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she taught the Ruth Sunday school class. She was formerly employed as the store manager for Mrs. Baird’s Store. She was an advocate for all animals. She loved to play dominos and also loved gardening and cooking. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with a passion.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Peters of Tyler; son, Gregory Don South of Litchfield, Ohio; daughters Donna Karen South Williams of The Colony and Lyddia Denise Clanton of Whitehouse; step-son, Dean Peters of Carrollton and step-daughter, Kim Peters Kea of Arp; brother, Lester Webb of Whitehouse; sister, Theo Bomar of Henderson; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobbie Lee Webb and J. O. Webb.
Pallbearers are Jared Williams, Joseph Williams, Jamie Williams Satchell, Austin Peters, Carson Peters and Jacob Kea. Honorary pallbearer is John Williams.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.
