

Family and friends will gather at a graveside service on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bullard Cemetery to celebrate the life of Mary Dean Moody Green who peacefully died in her sleep on January 30. Visitation will be at Lloyd James Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 1 from 5-7 P.M.
Mrs. Green, 86, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John and Ida Dean York and moved toTyler as a young adult where she resided until her death. She was a secretary until her retirement from UT Tyler Health Center.
Mary Dean was a committed Christian who exampled the character of Christ to all her family, friends, and those she met. Throughout her life she suffered much loss, but maintained a grateful spirit.
Preceding her in death were her parents; nine siblings; first husband, Sam Moody; daughter, Karen Moody; grandson, Brennen Applegate; her second husband, Herman Green; and her stepson, Joe.
She is survived by two daughters; Kathryn Applegate and husband Connie; Sammi Rannals and husband Randy both of Tyler, along with her grandchildren; Cindi Shotwell, Matt Rannals, Lindi Kessinger, Jessica Ogilvie, Lee Rannals, and great-grandchildren; Adam, Hollie, Rivers, Caleb, Mason, Maddi, Maddox, Myles, Ellie, and one great-great granddaughter, Bella. She is also survived by her step children; Sharon, Shirley, Annette, and Jackie along with their families who are from Alabama.
