Mattie Christine "Chris" Brumlow

Funeral services for Mattie Christine Brumlow, 80, of Rockwall, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East First Street, Tyler. Anthony Sisemore will be officiating. Burial will be at Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery following the service. Public viewing will be at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016.

Chris was born February 18, 1936 to L.Z. and Octavia Nobles in Wink, Texas.

She passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016 surrounded by family and staff of Highland Meadows Skilled Nursing Center.

After moving from North Dakota to Texas in 1975, Chris attended the University of Texas at Tyler. She graduated in 1982 with a degree in accounting and went on to receive her certified public accountant certificate. Chris had her own CPA practice before retiring in 2000. Chris moved to Rockwall in 2013.

Survivors include daughter Kristi (George) Cantu; grandson Alex Cantu; son Rod (Connie) Brumlow; granddaughter Tracy (William) Farnham; grandson Travis Brumlow; son Gary (M.J.) Brumlow; granddaughter Shawna (Shod) Shacklett; granddaughter Erica Lindley; granddaughter Trista Patterson; seven great-grandsons.

Chris was preceded in death by her husband Max Brumlow, her parents; several sisters; and one brother.
